How to find us?

The Foundation’s secretariat is easily accessible using public transport or car. It is very close to the Binnenhof, and approximately 10 minutes by foot from The Hague Central Station. If you are coming by car, the best place to park is in the parking garage “Malieveld” which is five minutes by foot from the secretariat.

Coming by public transport

From The Hague Central Station:
The Foundation’s secretariat is approximately 10 minutes by foot from the station. Once you leave the station, cross over to the park (Malieveld). Turn left and follow the road, which curves to the right, along the Koningskade. Turn left at the intersection/zebra crossing. You are now on the Korte Voorhout. Turn right at Tournooiveld and then take the first left, which is the Lange Voorhout. Stichting Lezen & Schrijven is located in number 19, in the same building as the Taalunie (Dutch Language Federation).

By tram:
Take tram 1 or 17 and follow the directions above.

From The Hague Holland Spoor Station or Central Station:

  • Take tram 1 in the direction of Scheveningen Noorderstrand to Kneuterdijk, or:
  • Take tram 17 in the direction of Statenkwartier to Buitenhof or Korte Voorhout.

By car

From Rotterdam:

  • Take the A4 in the direction of Den Haag/Amsterdam
  • At the Leidschendam intersection (Prins Clausplein), take the A12 in the direction of Den Haag Centrum
  • Follow the A12 (Utrechtse Baan) all the way to the stoplights, and turn left (into the Zuid-Hollandlaan)
  • Take the first left (Koningskade)
  • After 200 meters, turn left into the parking garage Malieveld
  • Follow the directions under “On foot” below

From Amsterdam:

  • Take the A4 in the direction of Den Haag
  • At the Leidschendam intersection (Prins Clausplein), take the A12 in the direction of Den Haag Centrum
  • Follow the A12 (Utrechtse Baan) all the way to the stoplights, and turn left (into the Zuid-Hollandlaan)
  • Take the first left (Koningskade)
  • After 200 meters, turn left into the parking garage Malieveld
  • Follow the directions under “On foot” below

On foot

The secretariat is a five-minute walk from the parking garage Malieveld. From the exit of the garage, walk to the intersection at the Koningskade and cross. Walk straight ahead along the Korte Voorhout. Turn right at Tournooiveld and then take the first left street. This is Lange Voorhout, and the secretariat is at number 19.
