Short description
Reading to begin with is a starter’s kit for employees in child care. It is aimed at reading stimulation amongst children. In addition, it offers employees tools to make low literacy negotiable with parents and colleagues and to help them tackle this issue. Main thought behind the initiative: contribute to the language development of children by stimulating the joy in being read to/reading and books, and this at an early age. Child care is an excellent place to work on language development. With this project, the initiating parties want child care organisations to (continue to) make a structural contribution to reading stimulation and the approach to low literacy in a fun way.
