Project name
BruTAAL.
Short description
Reaching the target group (young illiterates) requires working on a demand-driven basis and connecting with the actual group itself. Established in 2005, BruTAAL is a club of 10 young people who are close to illiteracy issues. They act as a soundboard and produce their own original approaches and solutions. Ten meetings are held each year, during which action plans for raising awareness of illiteracy are conceived, as well as plans for activating young people and society in this regard.
This group also has the opportunity to act as a media mouthpiece. They have given various interviews on the radio, which has allowed them to bringing issues close to home and tell the stories behind the figures of young people who are not properly equipped for the job market.
