Secretary – Désirée M. van Gorp
Désirée van Gorp studied law at Leiden University and worked for the United Nations Commission on Human Rights in Geneva. In 1991 she became Head of International Affairs at MKB Nederland. Her other positions at that time included Member of the RCO (Dutch Council of Central Employers’ Federations) Committee on International Economic Relations, the Export Advisory Board of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the board of the Export Council for SMEs Stichting Exportraad Midden- en Kleinbedrijf. Since 1995 she has acted as advisor to the private and public sector on translating social and political issues into (corporate) strategies. She is a member of the Advisory Board of ECP.NL and of Platform Internet voor Alledag (the Internet for Everyday platform), which was her brainchild. Currently she is Associated Professor of International Business at Nyenrode Business University and Director of Nyenrode's Institute for International Business.
