Treasurer – Dr Olaf C.H.M. Sleijpen
Olaf Sleijpen is Director General Financial Policy of the pension fund for employers and employees in the Service of the Dutch government and the educational sector Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP. From 1993 to 2001 he held various positions at De Nederlandsche Bank N.V, including in the International Affairs, Monetary and Economic Policy and External and Public Relations departments. From 1997 to 2001 he was spokesperson for De Nederlandsche Bank. From 2001 to 2004 he worked at the European Central Bank (ECB) in Frankfurt am Main, as personal advisor to the President of the ECB, dr W.F. Duisenberg. Olaf studied economics at the Rijksuniversiteit Limburg in Maastricht where, from 1990 to 1992, he also worked as Research Assistant at the European Institute of Public Administration. In 1999 he gained his PhD at the University of Groningen.
