With his company Embae, Mike Brantjes assists The Reading & Writing Foundation in reducing and preventing low literacy skills among young people, through developing the Taalkr8! (‘language power’) project, Ketenregie (Chain Management) and the Young L&S project.
Embae supports social and idealistic organisations in their efforts to heighten their impact and effectiveness. The company was founded in 2000 by Mike Brantjes, who combines his business acumen and analytical skills with unbridled vision and creativity. Many of the projects benefit the education sector and/or international cooperation: in 2004, for instance, Embae devised a fundraising and communication strategy for the UN World Food Programme.
